TESTIMONIALS

“I had the honor and distinct pleasure of working with Josie for 12 years during my tenure at Bayada Home Health Care, first as a respected peer and later as someone who had the privilege of reporting directly to her. Although significantly younger than I, she consistently demonstrated a level of poise, professionalism, compassion, and wisdom that made her one of the most capable and talented leaders I encountered throughout my 40-year career.

Whether serving as a colleague or a manager, Josie approached every challenge with calm confidence, thoughtful curiosity, and strategic insight. Among her many gifts as a leader, what stood out most was her ability to make others feel genuinely heard, respected, and valued. She inspired trust, brought out the best in those around her, and led with both strength and grace.

Josie’s influence on me, both personally and professionally, endures to this day. I am a better leader and a better person because I had the privilege of working alongside her.”

-Rochelle Harbick | Strategic Talent Partner, Director, BAYADA Home Health Care

“I had the pleasure of working alongside Josie as a peer on the finance side while she served as Strategic Talent Partner and Advisor for one of BAYADA's largest practices, and I can honestly say her work made a measurable difference to our bottom line, not just our culture.

Josie has a rare ability to connect talent strategy to business outcomes. She partnered closely with executives on resource planning, talent development, and upskilling programs that built a genuinely engaged workforce. She was also quick to spot when talent was misplaced, and handled those situations with real skill, working with leaders on performance improvement plans that were fair, direct, and gave people a legitimate path forward.

The results were clear: higher retention, improved employee experience scores, and sustained growth for the practice. As someone watching the numbers, I saw directly how her workforce planning translated into hitting our financial objectives. She thinks like a true business partner, not just a talent function. Any team would be lucky to have Josie's strategic thinking and leadership. Highly recommend her.”

“Josie Kozak and I were fortunate enough to grow together in the health care industry. One thing I look back and appreciate most about Josie is her strength to see the ability and potential in people when they couldn't see it themselves. She would simply say I know it's outside of your comfort zone, but YOU have the ability to really make a difference. It was never forced. Just a simple statement of solid encouragement.

She has a way to push someone's to learn and grow better than I have ever experienced with any other leader. She taught me to say "Yes" to opportunities, then strategize navigation from there. I owe much of my success, resilience, and brand to her leadership. She is a committed and confident role model that I am proud to say I was able to learn from. We may work in different industries now. But she will forever be someone I turn to for input, advice and encouragement.”

Beyond her professional expertise, Josie is one of the most people-centered leaders I have worked with. She builds trust quickly, fosters collaboration across teams, and creates environments where each individual feels valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work. Her emotional intelligence, authenticity, and ability to connect with people at all levels makes her not only an effective leader but also a trusted advisor and colleague.

-Erin Bethea | Regional Director at BAYADA Home Health Care

“I've had the pleasure and privilege of knowing Josie for nearly a decade, working alongside her for several years across two organizations (BAYADA and SteadyMD) as members of their executive teams.

What makes Josie exceptional is that she understands both sides of the equation: what it takes to run a business, and what it takes to help people thrive within one. She spent the first part of her career as an accomplished healthcare operator, where she learned firsthand the pressures people managers face every day. That operational grounding is what lets her turn people strategy into practical systems by building the structures that let VPs support Directors, Directors support Managers, and Managers support their teams. She knows that a strong culture doesn't happen by accident; it takes clear expectations, capable leaders, and ongoing investment in people.

But what truly sets Josie apart is her passion for helping people become the best version of themselves. She once described herself as a mirror: someone who helps people see their strengths, recognize all the ways they shine, and build on them. It's the intersection of deep operational credibility and that genuine passion for people that makes her one of a kind.

What's stayed with me most is watching her coach people and teams — myself included — through real uncertainty: organizational change, business transitions, interpersonal challenges, disruption. Whether the organization was a large institution or an early-stage startup, she was completely unfazed, because she knows people are the building blocks of every business.

I recommend Josie without hesitation to any organization looking for a leader who brings operational credibility, strategic thinking, and genuine human insight to build both stronger people and a stronger business. Beyond her leadership, she is a gem of a human being and a true pleasure to problem-solve with.”

-Sharon Vogel | Vice President, Corporate Operations at Maribel Health

“I had the honor of working with Josie when she served as my HRBP, and I can confidently say she is one of the most trusted and capable partners I’ve had the opportunity to work with.

The HRBP position was a brand-new role at the time. As the first person in the role, she helped define what success looked like—clarifying responsibilities, shaping how the position partnered with the business, and ultimately serving as a trailblazer for those who followed. She didn’t simply step into a role; she helped create it.

What sets Josie apart is her unique ability to combine deep operational understanding with exceptional talent expertise. She doesn’t view talent as a standalone function—she understands the business, its priorities, and how to align talent strategies to drive meaningful business outcomes. That combination is rare and incredibly valuable.

Josie consistently operated with a high degree of independence, taking ownership of complex initiatives from start to finish with outstanding follow-through and execution. I never had to wonder whether something would get done—it always was, and it was done exceptionally well.

Beyond her technical expertise, Josie is simply an outstanding person. She built strong, trusted relationships across the organization and wasn’t afraid to provide thoughtful, candid feedback when it was needed. She was a true thought partner—someone I trusted to challenge my thinking, provide sound advice, and always keep the best interests of the business and our people in mind. She approached every interaction with professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for the people she supported.

Any organization would be fortunate to have Josie on their team. She is a strategic thinker, an exceptional business partner, and someone who consistently delivers results while making those around her better.”
